He has worked at both the UK Parliament and Scottish Parliament, presenting the BBC2 programmes Westminster Live, Scrutiny and, from , the BBC TV programme Holyrood Live from the Scottish Parliament.

He also been a prominent broadcaster for over 20 years having presented BBC political programmes in Westminster and Scotland.
